Fluted upholstered banquette seating built into a recess, with a concealed LED shadow gap and a solid oak plinth lifting the seat off the floor. The run finishes against full-height oak veneer storage, book-matched so the grain carries across every door.
Low level panelling painted to a Farrow & Ball colour, with a moulded cap rail running continuously around the room. Panel widths were set out to align with door openings and window reveals so the joinery reads as part of the architecture rather than an addition to it.
Low level panelling extended to wrap structural columns, forming a continuous dado that ties the room together. Each column was templated on site and the cladding machined in the workshop so the mitred corners close tightly around the steel substructure.
